I am Asheville, North Carolina artist, Nan Davis.
You are one of the reasons I paint.
I want to create art that you will look at
again and again.
I want to create a painting that draws you in to look
closely to see the mystery of its creation.
I want you to enter the creation, look around and fi
nd wonderful marks and smears and color.
January 2023. I am on sabbatical for a while - at least a year, I think. My husand and I have decided this is the time to see new things, have new experiences, and so we are off - into exploration. I have moved out of my wonderful studio in Asheville's River Arts District. Sold all of my inventory. And now we will see what calls.
